I am sure that each and every one of you truly did have a blast during last night’s Appreciation Party! As i’m here typing out this blog post, photos from last night are flooding in and it definitely crafted a smile on my face, reminiscing the joy and laughter of that night! On behalf of the Instructors, Thank You all who graced the event and sincerely, credits to all those who dressed accordingly! I GUESS WE DON’T MIND BEING LABELLED ‘GEEK’ COZ WE ALL KNOW WE’RE AWESOME! Right? ;)

A great thank you to the Steering Committee who wasted precious brain juices coming out with the games and ideas to make the event a great and successful one J Definitely, the emcees for always ensuring adequate level of response from the audience and ..... Haiya for short, THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING THE DINNER AN AMAZING ONE! I do admit, I was so close to tearing during the montage but I didn’t (maintain my cool).

If we compared this to a 400m race, we’re at the 300m mark; 100m to go. Everyone is tired; Everyone has put in the effort and has made it thus far. So close to the finishing line yet it seemed very far away. Either you hate it or embrace the end but that’s not what counts; the experience matters after all.

The date where it all comes to, 09/08/2011:

Hello All :)

I'm truly sorry for the super late post. As you can tell, i'm quite a busy man hehehe
Serious, have been very busy with school work, these past few days.
Okay less about me, more about tomorrow's awesome appreciation dinner!

Red Cross Youth National Day Parade 2011: Appreciation Dinner
Date: 06 August 2011
Reporting Time: 1300h
Venue: Red Cross Headquarters, Haw Par Hall

Every dinner, it's a necessity to have a theme coming along with it. So everyone, dress geekily! As suggested by the planning committee, do go the extra mile by dressing accordingly.

So just what and how to dress geekily? Simple;
1) a big pair of circular-shaped glasses,
2) over-sized shirt (tucked in all the way)
3) accompanied with a high waist-ed pants
And reminder, to best suit the theme, the pants have to be above the ankle. (just in-case Singapore floods)

The glasses, this is a best start in having a geeky/nerdy look. If this won't do, you could go for my kind of spectacles, big, bold spectacles. If it doesn't cover a quarter of your face, you're not doing good enough. In geeky terms, the bigger the spectacles, the better. (first hand tips from an experienced young *geeky* man)

If you like, you may help out by bringing decorative stuff like confetti, balloons anything that could help bring in more colour to the current dull-looking Haw Par Hall; no offence though :) And regarding the food; chips, anything of that sort, we're open to having contributions from all of you. Do remember, be wary of the food you bring, make sure it's Halal and that it is not expired. We don't want any cases of people with food poisoning.

I am not sure about the rest but I am definitely looking forward to tomorrow. If you've not talked to me, go on, approach me. I'm more than willing to have a chat with my dear NDP cadets :) Don't worry i don't bite, at most i'll just ..................... *adds dramatic sound effect*

SEE YA TOMORROW, I'M AS SEXY AS J. LO
*supposed to rhyme*
